Chuck’s time of 9 hours and 4 minutes is the fastest Ironman time for any Oklahoma Male, Amateur or Professional, and his marathon time of 2:57 was the 3rd fastest marathon time of the day. Professional triathlete, and former All-American swimmer at Texas Christian University, Dr. Amanda Stevens was the first female to emerge from the swim portion. Dr. Stevens (pictured on the beach at right) is currently the Ironman 70.3 USA Pro Champion. She is originally from Enid, OK. Chuck's wife, Jennifer Sloan, finished as the 3rd American Am-ateur Female and made the po-dium in her division. This year's event was her sixth time to com-pete in the Ironman World Cham-pionship. No other Oklahoma male or female has qualified and com-peted that many times. Her time of 9 hours and 56 minutes is the fast-est Ironman time for any Oklahoma Amateur Female.
